Oh this wedding. Goodness this has been a hard one to sit on, I’ve been so eager to share. This was the last wedding we shot before I gave birth and I was 8 1/2 months pregnant.(Big thanks to Cassandra for 3rd shooting with us and making sure I didn’t go into labor. :*) I’m not sure if it was all the hormones or just the fact that these two are pretty much my ideal client couple, but this wedding will always have a very special place in my heart. It’s always a little funny when I write these posts months after the fact. Kate and Phillip have now become good friends of ours so it’s hard for me to look at these images and separate the friends from the clients. I guess that is the beauty of our job, we don’t really have to. These people now take up a beautiful space in our lives and I’m so thankful for them.
Their wedding day was magical. Kate really gave us the space to be creative and shoot the way we love to shoot, with lots of time for portraits and magic. The weather teased us with rain but held off and while it wasn’t a balmy 70 degrees, at least it wasn’t -20, which isn’t off the table for Cincinnati in March. This wedding had so much STYLE! Classic fabulousness with a little twist of sass. Perfection. And the squad. Oh the squad. What can you say about group of amazing girls who pull off a rad surprise choreographed dance at the reception? Well you can’t say much, you’ll just have to check it out yourself. 😉 XO
