A little something for you…… and maybe him too.

Boudoir.
The word boudoir usually gets met with a combination of blushed cheeks and curiosity. What is it? Is it scandalous? Are people *gasp* naked?!
Every photographer has a different take on it’s definition. For me, it is whatever you want it to be. Whatever makes you feel the most beautiful and the most empowered. Because at the end of the day, it’s about you!
The trend has become increasingly popular as a wedding, anniversary or Valentines Day gift over the past few years.  I personally love boudoir! For me it’s an amazing way to celebrate how fabulous you are as a woman. And as an added bonus maybe your hunny would like it too. 😉 What’s fun to see is when women go in to the experience thinking it would be a fabulous gift for their man and half way through the experience realize it’s a fabulous gift to themselves!
YouAreBeautiful. Let’s celebrate it!
Since the trend has gained so much momentum I thought I’d take a minute to talk a little about what the experience is like!
Q: What is included in the shoot?
A: Well! We find a location, either outside or inside that you feel comfortable and we shoot for about an hour or so. You are welcome to bring a friend or two for company and I provide champagne (or something bubbly for my non-drinkers out there) You pick out your favorite images from that day and I provide you with a leather bound album of those images. You will also receive a disc with those edited images and a print release. The album will look a little something like the one below.
Q: Do I have to wear lingerie?
A: Heck no. Wear whatever you want! Some of my favorite boudoir images I’ve done women have been wearing a big T-shirt!
Q: I don’t want to look pinup-y or made up can you do something more natural?
A: Of course! I’m a woman first and foremost. I would want my most flattering angles and light when I have pictures taken and would want to look at them and feel like myself. I want you to have the same. I want the client to feel beautiful and look at these images for years to come and be proud of them.

If you’re interested in booking a boudoir session with me or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask! 🙂 Special thanks to Ms. B for letting me rock her fabulous images.
