If you know me at all you know I have a strong and long standing love affair with Pure Barre. It’s the age old story of a damsel in distress saved by a knight in shiny armor and Pure Barre socks. 😉 The damsel being me, whose body, after many years of competitive figure skating, could not keep up my athletic spirit anymore. The knight being Pure Barre. I had tried, without success, to find a workout regime that didn’t leave me feeling sore in all the worst ways. About four years ago I ran in to a friend who had become a trainer there and suggested I give it a try. First class I was hooked. Not only did I feel crazy challenged but old injuries weren’t exacerbated. For the first time in a long time (despite my crazy shaking muscles) I felt strong. For me, that feeling of strength is irreplaceable.
What is more, I have fallen head over heels in love with the owners and instructors. It started with the Lexington location and as I moved, I found a new love for the instructors at Ft. Wright. They have become a home away from home and I am thankful for their love and support!
Thankfully I have gotten to work professionally with these fabulous people as well. They are so much fun to work with and their personalities and enthusiasm burst out of the picture. Here’s a few fab shots of these knockout women, doing their thing. *Stepping off soapbox now.*
