For those of you that know me, know I started in film. Now, I’m not an aficionado by any means since I  moved from film to digital pretty quickly. However there are moments that I get nostalgic for those hours in a dark room,  watching black and white images magically appear on paper. I remember that time so fondly. Although I hadn’t begun to hone in on my craft and the idea of making it a career had never crossed my mind, it was the first time in my life I really felt like an artist. Holding something tangible that I had created. So even now, among my bold colors and high contrast, I find a a certain comfort within the black and white tone. I love that they are simultaneously simple and complex. I love the nuances you notice that you otherwise miss with color. So for the first time, I’m going to do an engagement post of just b/w. Don’t worry Jessica and Kyle, you beautiful people, lots of colorful ones heading your way too. This post is mostly for me. XO
